Recent Yachats guest reviews

I have stayed here many times over the past few years. I love the location with it being tucked up against the woods in the east and a view of the ocean to the west. The reliable Wi-Fi connection is a plus as wi Duncan be sketchy in many areas along the coastline. The property faces the highway so there is a bit of traffic noise, but the sound of the ocean at night more than makes up for it. This is also a great place for viewing the stars at night as there are no street lights.

The house was amazing and it needs some attention. There are visible repairs needed. The location and view, the floor plan - great. Would be great to have kitchen basics like oil, spices etc as most vaca homes provide those and we planned on cooking and it limited us bc we are accustomed to homes providing that sort of thing. But we’ll go back. It’s a good home! It was lovely. You just need to bring everything… even shampoo.

Nice kitchen, comfy atmosphere. Loved the artwork. It's a short walk to view the ocean and rocky bank (not much beach in Yachats). Furniture was comfortable. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Walking distance to our favorite coffee kiosk - The Village Bean. Very close to a variety of restaurants. We would stay there again.

Explore our Yachats, OR, vacation rentals

Yachats is a hidden gem along the Oregon Coast, due to its uncommercialized shoreline and quaint village. The coast features the same basalt rock bluffs, foggy mornings, and access to nature trails as you’d come to expect with the Pacific Northwest, but with a comfortable, lived-in feel in town that makes for a restful stay.

During your trip, make sure to stop at the Yachats Farmers Market on Sunday mornings in the summer, where you can enjoy fresh blueberries and the beach community. With a quick drive, there are plenty of natural attractions that are worth seeing in the area as well, like Cook’s Chasm, Devil’s Churn, and Thor’s Well. Come back from your adventure to your home base at Yachats vacation rentals, whether a cozy pet-friendly cabin or a beachfront cottage.

Where is Yachats, OR?

Nestled along the mouth of the Yachats River, halfway between Newport and Florence, a vacation home in Yachats offers the all-too-rare combination of a charming downtown, beautiful beaches, and a sense of real tranquility. Yachats is just over 3 hours from Portland, 2 hours from Salem and Eugene, and just an hour and a half from Corvallis. It's a little more secluded than many of the coast's other destinations, but still within an hour of Newport's bustling attractions, Florence's photogenic scenery, and plenty of deserted beaches and sleepy fishing villages in between.

Cape Perpetua

While the town of Yachats itself is charming, the biggest draw in the area is Cape Perpetua, arguably the site of the best viewpoint along the entire Oregon Coast. The 803-foot-high viewpoint offers a panoramic view stretching 150 miles north-to-south, and almost 40 miles out to sea on a clear day. Just a few miles south of town, the official Cape Perpetua Scenic Area includes an informative visitor's center and over twenty miles of hiking trails leading to unforgettable scenic vistas.

Nearby parks at Neptune Beach, Cummins Creek, and Smelt Sands offer additional spots for hiking, picnicking, wildlife watching, and fishing.
