This is our second year staying at Casa Lakeside Home. We felt right at home immediately. The kitchen has plenty of dishes( and some plastic plates for use outside and with grandkids) . Also plenty of utensils, coffee maker, pots and pans. We utilized the large outdoor under cover table for all meals , playing games and relaxing. Really enjoyed watching all the birds, turtles and resident alligators. We were safely enclosed by lanai and fencing! The neighborhood is quiet and very conveniently located to many beaches, restaurants and bike trails along the waterways. We could ride our bikes right from the house We love Shamrock Park for biking and hiking and grandkids loved Nature Center and playground as well as nearby beaches, fishing and Sharky’s We would definitely come back again!

This house is in a quiet neighborhood and was centrally located to groceries, shopping, a few restaurants, gym, downtown Venice, and very close to the beaches. We also discovered and enjoyed Shamrock Park which was within walking distance. The house manager always returned our calls and texts and was very attentive to correct the few concerns we had. The owners have done a great job with supplying the house with many amenities including chairs and an umbrella for the beach. Linens were abundant and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking and eating utensils. The kitchen table was large enough to accommodate 6 adults for dinner. The living room was spacious. We enjoyed our 3 week stay.

I appreciated the well stocked kitchen with new dishes, pots and pans, clean oven, new washer and dryer, crockpots, glassware, etc. The welcome package of bottled water and snacks was a nice touch.

Where is Venice?

This beach community sits on the Western coast of Florida, facing the Gulf of Mexico. The lively bayfront city of Sarasota sits to the north of Venice, and Port Charlotte's parks and beaches are about the same distance away to the southeast. Take the 60-mile drive to Fort Myers and explore its surrounding parks, like the Charlotte Harbor Reserve State Park. The sights and tastes of Tampa are an easy day trip away - about 70 miles to Venice's north.

Things to do in Venice, Florida

Venice Beach, the town's crown jewel, is a certified Blue Wave beach - safe and clean for the whole family. Drop a fishing line at the beach's public pier and try your luck with the local aquatic life. Keep an eye out for dolphins playing offshore! If you're feeling athletic, bring a volleyball and challenge your friends to a game on the sand courts here. Be sure to check out Caspersen Beach to look for washed-up shark teeth - the morning after a storm often yields the best finds.

Golf enthusiasts can tee off at Lake Venice Golf Club, a 27-hole course by the water. Can't get enough of that sunshine and ocean breeze? Bike around the Venetian Waterway Park trail, a walking and biking trail on either side of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Whether you're here with family, friends, or your significant other, this cute Gulf Coast town offers the best of the Sunshine State. Book a Venice vacation rental for your next visit to this wonderful community!
