We checked late Friday and discovered that the front door lock was not working (you cannot lock it, and the force of the wind will open the door). We called Vacasa right away, as told that someone local will call in an hour, we waited till 11:30 PM (changing our dinner plans to ordering food to be delivered) and no one called. We called again on Saturday AM and by the time help arrived, it was past noon, which was followed by a locksmith arrival around 2:00 PM. We finally got out as a family with the front door secure after 3:00 PM (and we checked out at 10:00 AM on Sunday). Our vacation was ruined. While the property is in a great location with a beautiful view, Vacasa's response to the problem was disappointing.

This was a great house. We had to stay here after our booking had an "infestation". This was a really good place to stay. Dated with a cook 80s style table, double shower in the master and ample room. The try level set up made ot great for kids and early to bed types to sleep sound. The driveway was rubbish but being December kind of understandable, but needs gravel placed down. Not much space for dogs if you bring you K9 but a small patch for potty trips. There was a small patch of mold on the wall entering the landing, paper towel holder, trash can, and lamp upstairs were broken but probably all easily missed if you don't go through with a fine tooth comb. All the things were easily over looked for how much fun we had here. The dinner table is plenty big for full dinner and board games. Would poop here again. Book it for your vacation. We will again for sure. Cheers. Merry Christmas

Given the length of the shoreline, the best time to visit also depends on whether you wish to visit the Southern Oregon Coast to experience in-season golf or the Central Oregon Coast to enjoy oysters in the winter in Pacific City or Lincoln City.
