My family and I stayed with the dog for a quick 4 day trip. The view is great and the ease of access to ocean was great! Close to good restaurants and downtown Amelia. Publix close by as well!

I wish I could speak to the owner directly. You can tell this is a family’s vacation home. Vacasa is not doing them any favors in the cleanliness and maintenance of this unit. Mold and scum in the bathroom showers. Forgotten toys under and behind furniture (so they aren’t cleaning floors throughly). Kitchen needs a serious deep clean. I have two sons and nine animals—my standards are not that high. But there was visible dirt, food, and general living residue in living areas, bathrooms, and kitchen. Setting that aside. The master bedroom mattress was acceptable but close to needing replacement. The second BR mattress has a visible dent. The linens and towels were clean, comfortable, and large. The living room furniture was new and comfortable and there was plenty of seating. The kitchen had everything needed to cook full meals—I was pleasantly surprised by this. The layout is good. The property needs some attention. Outside lighting burned out, etc, but it is off off season for Amelia Island, so I’m sure that’s just lack of guests being around. We had to listen to construction in the unit below us for several days, and had no notice of that, but Vacasa was fair in their handling of it. I would go back with lower expectations. And I hope the family that owns it pays it a visit soon to get ahead of some of the concerns I listed above.
