Make Pennsylvania your next getaway

Rich in a history that’s still evidenced today, Pennsylvania offers a blend of bustling city life and picturesque towns and villages. It earned the name the Keystone State due to its integral role in the founding of the United States, including providing a location for the signing of the Declaration of Independence. A keystone is the central stone in an arch that holds all the others in place—much like Pennsylvania did the other colonies.

Really enjoyed our stay here in the Poconos. The house was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. The hot tub and fire pit were definitely highlights, and the game room was a lot of fun at night. Overall, a great spot for a getaway, we’d definitely come back.

Location was great. We play 5 golf courses all within 30 minutes. Home was clean and well furnished.

The lake house was beautiful! There was an ample amount of living space for everyone. We went at a weird time (too cold for water, too hot for slopes) so we spent a good portion of our week long trip in the house as the weather was also a bit rainy. Unfortunately, a lot of the things that had originally attracted us to this house didn’t work. It was my fiancé’s birthday trip and she had never had a real s'more before. Well, the fire-pit wasn’t working. What was also really confusing about that though was there were lots of burn ban notices on the way up and things here and there that said no outdoor fires but they also had a rule book that stated if we wanted to use the gas fire pit we would have to supply the gas, which we did and just had no luck with it. My sister-in-law did also singe some of her eyebrows, eyelashes and hair trying to help me light the gas grill as the starter was also broken on that. From there, the air-hockey table didn’t work either. We tried plugging it in, messing with all of the buttons and just couldn’t get it to work. The pac-man old school game also has sticky buttons so lots of people were a bit frustrated playing that. My sister-in-law and brother stayed in the Queen sized bed on the main level that they stated was rather uncomfortable. We had two girls in the kids room on the bunk-bed which was RATHER unstable. Just sitting on the bottom or climbing to the top had it swaying. Everything else was great. All of the kitchen utensils needed to cook/bake are available. The King sized bed in the master was very comfy. There was a couch and two loveseats in the main level living room which provided more than enough sitting space. I LOVED all of the windows and natural lighting the house had to offer. They also provided a Dyson vacuum that was extremely nice to have with three kids, four adults and a pup. Even with all of its issues, the kids didn’t wanna leave and I would go again. Thank you for opening your lake house to us!

The state’s history aside, our Pennsylvania vacation rentals have captured the hearts of travelers for decades. From the art museums and historical sites of Philadelphia, to the tranquil shores of Lake Erie, to the gently rolling hills of the Pocono Mountains, our Pennsylvania cabin rentals offer something for every traveler.

Historical sites in Pennsylvania

If there’s a history buff in your travel party, a visit to one of the dozens of historical sites is a must. In Philadelphia alone, you’ll find a number of them, from the internationally renowned Liberty Bell to the immaculate cobblestones at Carpenters’ Hall.

Marvel at George Washington’s original headquarters tent at the Museum of the American Revolution. Or follow the fascinating histories of Jewish immigrants at the National Museum of American Jewish History. At the African American Museum in Philadelphia, learn about the achievements and aspirations of African Americans from before colonial times and into the present.

Even outside of Philly, our Pennsylvania vacation rentals are surrounded by history. Walk the hallowed ground at Gettysburg, a major Civil War battle site. Or visit Washington Crossing: this 500-acre park was once the place where George Washington’s army famously crossed the Delaware River and changed the course of the American Revolution.

Poconos vacation rentals in Pennsylvania

Or maybe you’re seeking a getaway to beautiful, rolling hills, and our Pennsylvania cabin rentals in the Pocono Mountains are the perfect fit. Visitors love this area for its ability to suit any vacation, whether you want to spend your days in nature or relaxing in a spa.

The word “Pocono” means “stream between two mountains” in the indiginous language of the Lenape. Reflecting this, the region is renowned for its beautiful hills and rivers that offer outdoor activities year-round.

In the summers, a trip to the Poconos means dozens of trails for hiking, mountain biking, bird watching, and trail running. Kayak along the gently flowing rivers or raft down raging whitewater. Discover beautiful waterfalls, mountain vistas, and valleys.

In the winters, our Pennsylvania cabin rentals keep you nice and cozy. But there’s still plenty to do outside should you choose, from cross-country skiing to snowshoeing to ice fishing. Festivals and events don’t stop in the colder months, either. Enjoy local craft brews at the Pocono Winter Beerfest or peruse the work of local artisans at the Sherman Winter CraftFest. If you’re in town for the holidays you’ll find a number of tree lightings, Christmas festivals, New Year’s parties, and more.
