Recent Nevada guest reviews

I think this house was nice overall. It was clean, had the all the basics you needed, and enough sleeping options. We all enjoyed the hot tub and the steam shower was amazing. We liked how close it was to the things we wanted to do. Overall, we all enjoyed this house and would stay there again!

Great place. View of lake from the patio. Plenty of space. Location was close to north and south Tahoe. Carson/Reno was only 30-40 min out.

We loved our stay here! The place is nice, clean, and upgraded, with all the basic amenities provided. It’s also conveniently located about a half-mile walk to Burnt Cedar Beach and just a few minutes’ drive to dining and shopping options in the area. The cherry on top was the game room with a foosball and pool table — a great bonus for some extra fun. However, both had a few minor issues: the foosball table had a hole on one side where the ball wouldn't stay, and the pool table was slightly tilted, causing the balls to roll. The foosball table was still very usable but couldn't use the pool table.

Where is Nevada?

Nevada is located in the Great Basin of the western United States. Made up primarily of an arid desert landscape, the western side of the state is flanked by the Sierra Nevadas and shares the shores of gorgeous Lake Tahoe with Californa.

Things to Do in Nevada

Some of the best rock climbing in the country happens at Red Rock Canyon, while hikers can trek the few short, defined trails in the Black Rock Desert or blaze their own path in the wild and undeveloped canyons and ridgelines. The Ruby Crest Trail in Lamoille Canyon, a 40-mile route across the Ruby Mountain Ridge, offers diehards a spectacular look at glacial peaks, lush meadows, and vibrant wildflowers.

The Children's Discovery Museum has exhibits and hands-on activities for young travelers while the Fleischmann Planetarium in Reno features shows and interactive displays to help visitors of all ages tour the universe. Visit Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary to learn about unique species of birds and wildlife preservation.

Nevada's numerous art galleries feature local, regional, and national artists working across all mediums. You'll have the chance to view a thousand-year-old Columbian mammoth at Nevada State Museum, world-class art at Nevada Museum of Art, and otherworldly sculptures at the Goldwell Open Air Museum near Rhyolite, one of Nevada's well-known ghost towns.

In addition to the annual Burning Man gathering, Nevada hosts a number of unique festivals and events, like the Great Reno Balloon Races, Great Basin Astronomy Festival, and the Life is Beautiful Music and Art Festival.

If you're headed for Lake Tahoe, check out our rentals in charming Genoa or near the casinos and nightlife of Crystal Bay. Wherever you stay, you can rest assured that time spent in our convenient and well-maintained Nevada cabin rentals and vacation homes will enhance your unforgettable getaway.
