Recent Massachusetts guest reviews

This house has great views of Cape Cod Bay with beautiful sunrises. Since the beaches are private it is not possible to walk along the beach. The private beach in front is rocky and difficult to get down to, especially for a senior. There are beautiful beaches very nearby that we drove to. The actual drive into the house is a bit of an adventure but easily passable in April when we visited. Despite the unexpected beach issues we enjoyed our stay very much.

Our stay was absolutely perfect, close to everything and the room was very clean and had everything we needed. It had everything I needed to cook and eat a meal right down to a bottle of dish soap. The sliding glass door opened up with a great view of a private beach and just on the other side the coast. The beds were clean, comfortable, and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels. Really the only thing I can say and it’s not even completely a negative is that the shower has phenomenal pressure. With that being said, you can’t take too long of a shower because it starts to hurt. But overall my stay there was absolutely perfect… I definitely plan to do it again and would highly recommend that space to anybody interested in a nice quiet retreat right on the beach

Pros: The location itself was cute and convenient to downtown and very walkable. It is super roomy and clean and plenty of space. It was decorated very tastefully with simple little pieces that didn't clutter it. The bed was comfortable and shower was very roomy. CONS: There were cons to the property including difficult to get in with a random string of numbers for the lock. It would have been nice to have it as my number so I didn't have to rummage through my bag every time I got home. Customer service was not helpful on local recommendations and had no insider knowledge of the area. We went in the offseason and would have loved some cute recommendations but was told they weren't from the area and didn't know. It is located above the ice cream shop which is nice but was still closed for the season when we went. The shop was doing some maintenance late in the evening. Finally check out is super early. I was given an opportunity to purchase it a week before my stay and blew it off. The morning of when I was dissembling my bike and needing some extra time was told that was a one time deal. I proceeded to pull of my belonging out of the room into the parking lot to pack. I did not see any cleaning staff or manager enter while I was there packing up till I left in the afternoon. A sour way to end my trip. The place is great but the property manager was lacking.

Visiting Boston, Massachusetts

Boston is the largest city in the state, but still retains much of its historic flavor. Tour the Freedom Trail, a historic 2.5-mile journey commemorating the brave men who fought in the American Revolution. Relive John F. Kennedy's heyday at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Library, or head to Beacon Hill and admire the many well-preserved buildings and monuments to our country's founding. Or enjoy a baseball game at historic Fenway Park, one of the last remaining vintage ballparks in the nation. A stay in one of our Boston vacation rentals gives you a comfortable place to call home while you explore the city - which is important, as you'll need more than a week to see all the sites!
