Recent Bethel guest reviews

Stayed for a couple nights. Overall great experience, definitely recommend and would stay again. Positive: Very clean, very well maintained. Cool layout, a lot packed into a small space. Small deck to sit outside. Electric fireplace for nice atmosphere. Convenient to get to Bethel. Awesome restaurants nearby. Kitchen has everything you need to Negatives: The beds. Twin beds are not twin, they are RV twin. Pull out sofa has the typical bar in the middle of your back. King bed will leave you in a U shape by morning. Internet is slightly better than dial-up speed. People staying in the unit upstairs had their kids running sprints at 6am. No sound insulation.

Brought family - great spot. 3 easy miles to Sunday River slopes! Lots of space, very private. Fully equipped kitchen. Great game room for teens and other “older kids at heart.” Comfy beds. Plenty of parking. Gas fireplace added extra level of coziness. Easy self-checkin with coded lock system. Great food and beverages very close by at the Steel Mill brew pub.

Where are our Bethel, ME vacation rentals?

Bethel is situated near the White Mountains, on both sides of the Androscoggin River, in Western Maine. Founded in 1774 as Sudbury, Canada, Bethel is decidedly American in nature, with star-spangled flags proudly billowing in the summer breeze. The Atlantic and St. Lawrence Railroad in 1851 connected the sleepy town to bustling Portland and cosmopolitan Montreal. Wood manufacturing has long been a town staple and you'll find remnants of the old mills that once dominated the town. Today, Bethel is known as a scenic spot with plenty of beautiful green spaces at which to admire birds and wildlife.

Things to do near your Bethel vacation rental

Hiking and walking are two of the most popular pastimes in town. With more than two dozen trails in the region, you're sure to feel invigorated and rejuvenated for the duration of your vacation. Grafton Notch State Park boasts 12 of the most rewarding miles of the Appalachian Trail as well as waterfalls and the always popular Moose Cave. Evans Notch National Forest is considered one of the most beautiful spots in town and is a great place to bird watch.

The family-friendly runs of Mt. Abram Ski Area will surely get your adrenaline pumping and Sunday River is a year-round adventure destination with skiing in the winter and zip line tours in the summer. Try your hand at whitewater rafting or improve your handicap at one of the area golf courses. Head to Oxford Casino for or your fill of gambling, dining, and entertainment.

The arts are not left by the wayside here. The Mahoosuc Arts Council offers summer concerts in the Bethel bandstand as well as an annual community arts festival in July.
