Recent Collins Lake Condos - Government Camp guest reviews

Great layout and perfect for two small families. We loved the gas fireplace, as well as the proximity to town, Skibowl, and the community pool/hot tub/sauna! I think this is one of the older units at Collins Lake and may be starting to show its age in certain areas, mainly appliances. The dryer door didn't stay closed, so the dryer would turn itself off after a few seconds. We finally remedied the situation by dragging a heavy wood chair in front of the dryer to hold the door closed. It was just a little nerve-wracking because we'd packed light for three days of snow play, knowing we had a dryer at the condo. Hopefully they can get that fixed and other guests won't have the same anxiety over a weekend of wet gear. The toilet in the master bedroom also ran all night long both nights and I think the folks sleeping on the pull-out couch mentioned that they heard strange noises all night, which I think was the water rushing through the pipes. Despite the quirks, we found the condo to be a good value for the size, location, and the fact that it was peak season.

The king bed was very comfortable. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. It was nice to have a sauna and a hot tub.

Collins Lake is a lovely option for Government Camp lodging: the rentals offer two or three bedrooms (select units are even pet-friendly) and a triple-level floor plan that includes a private, heated garage on the lower level, a gas fireplace in the living room, and WiFi throughout.
