Recent Idyllwild guest reviews

In the future if the house description lists the following, we might return: 1. A cast-iron pan and pot and non-plastic spatulas so we don't each toxic plastic and non-stick chemicals (PFAS). Ones in home were scratched up toxic ones. 2. Recycling bins in the kitchen with a sign of what will be recycled. Or at least tell people they can recycle the following in rolling carts and where they are (garage?) 3. A water filter. We brought our own plastic-free one (kishucharcoal.com). 4. Glass food storage containers with lids. There were none. So we left some clean glass jars. 5. Drain catchers in showers to avoid clogs and potential toxic drain openers. 6. Less-toxic hand dish soap and dishwasher detergent, such as ones certified by https://www.epa.gov/saferchoice/products. Anything "antimicrobial/antibacterial" creates cancer-causing chemicals (https://ewg.org/news-insights/news/triclosan-not-safe-not-effective). 7. Working space heater in attic bedroom. The one there doesn't emit heat. There's lot of games, books, and coziness though!

We celebrated our daughter’s 28th birthday and loved the cabin as a place to watch movies, play board games and spend time together. We mostly loved that it was dog friendly so she could bring her pup to celebrate too. Everything was clean and we had most everything we needed for cooking and entertainment.

I've booked many houses in Idyllwild over the years, and Lily Haus is my new favorite! There were only two of us on this trip and a one bedroom would have worked out OK, but I find that one bedroom places don't often provide spacious living space (kitchen, living room). Lily Haus has two bedrooms, a great kitchen and living room space, nice deck with trees surrounding it. It was very clean, well equipped and a 3 minute drive to town. Unfortunately I left my expensive blow dryer in the bathroom (not the first time I've left something critical behind), and I thought I'd lost it for good. But Vacasa and the owners retrieved it and mailed it back to me for a small shipping fee. That's a first! I will definitely book here again.
