Seaside Retro Retreat is the passion project of two traveling artists who love unique stays. Since 2022, the homeowners have been hosting travelers from around the globe and offering their unique take on a curated vacation home experience.
The location
Just a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean and Seaside’s famous Boardwalk Promenade. The Prom, as locals call it, runs the length of town and allows you to walk or ride a bike downtown with the ocean at your side. Rest and slow down in Seaside’s oldest part of town, full of quaint homes and cozy vibes. Stroll to the local cafe and coffee spot for a great drink or brunch, then pick up groceries at the local organic store on the way home. Cartwright Park is Seaside’s best-kept secret when it comes to the neighborhood. Shhhh, don’t tell!
The space
You’ll be welcomed by a cozy beach bungalow full of artwork and hand-painted murals by a local artist. Enjoy the newly renovated kitchen and bathroom, or let the pups out back in the fenced yard while dining alfresco on the deck, equipped with picnic table seating and a barbecue. This property offers all the charm of a vintage beach cabin with all the modern comforts you could want. The home layout is flexible with three bedrooms to offer you privacy as well as two desks for remote working in this PNW paradise. Roku TV with guest access to all your favorite apps, a hearty supply of board games, and, to keep it retro, an 8-track player and radio stereo cabinet from the 1970s (audiophiles rejoice!).
The experience
Seaside has one of the largest beaches in our surrounding coastal towns. Dogs love running up and down (Yes, it’s a dog-friendly beach!), while there is enough room for kids to play all day. With more space on the sand than surrounding towns, it’s easy to get some privacy from the crowds. End your day on the dunes over a campfire, s’mores, and a famous Pacific Ocean sunset with the ones you love.
