This wonderfully renovated 1940s cottage is about 1,500 square feet and is furnished with antiques and comfortable furniture. Situated on the St. George River, the cottage sits 20 feet back from Wiley Cove at the end of a half-mile dirt road in Cushing, about five miles from Thomaston. There are lobster boats working right in front of the house in the river, and wildlife abounds. There are two deep water moorings, available for boats, directly in front of the cottage. The house also has its own beach for swimming and exploring just below a wonderful big deck that hangs over the water and offers amazing views.
Port Clyde and the open ocean are just down the river. This fishing village is located on the opposite shore, at the end of the St. George Peninsula, and is accessible by boat or by car. It has a kitchen with a lovely dining area. The house also has a washer and dryer and monitor heaters in the bathrooms. There is another bed in the guest house where you will also find a half bath.
You must be 25 years or older to rent this property.
