Come spend your summer days watching fireflies dance in the meadow, or your chilly nights soaking in the two on-site hot tubs by the hot springs when you book a stay at this Redstone getaway. Serene and rustic, this home lets you unwind as you revel in nature.
Located just across the river from the Filoha Meadows Open Space and three miles from the town of Redstone, you'll be set just far enough away to enjoy a peaceful ambiance, and close enough to enjoy local attractions. We recommend that you stock up on groceries and fuel in Carbondale, about 13 miles away, as well as use a vehicle with 4x4 capability to access the home safely in winter.
The Cabins at Filoha Meadows is comprised of four cabins, including this one, Three Sisters Peak Cabin, and Elephant Mountain Cabin.
Flooded with light from the bevy of windows, the home welcomes you in with a cheery atmosphere. Pop the tops on a few local microbrews and head out onto the deck to take in the stunning tree-lined views. Connect to the WiFi to check the forecast before you plan your next excursion.
Fire up the gas grill to show off your BBQ skills, or if the weather isn't cooperating, the basic kitchenette has the necessities to help you keep everyone fueled up and on the go. With a microwave, coffee maker, and a full-size refrigerator (but no stove/oven or dishwasher), whipping up quick snacks or a picnic lunch will be a breeze.
Dine at the picnic-style table near the kitchen, or out on the deck. Sip a cocktail outside as the sun goes down. When it's time to retire, this one-bedroom, one-bathroom home has room for up to four guests to spread out in comfort. In the bedroom you'll find a rejuvenating queen-size bed and plenty of storage. Out in the main living area there is a fold out futon for even more space.
Surrounded by beauty that played host to the Disney movie 'Tall Tales,' you'll be able to delve into a wide array of outdoor fun. There are on-site hot springs that fill two tiled tubs along the riverfront - these are shared with the few other cabins on the property, so enjoy! You could also strap on your cross-country skies and head out for a snow-filled day of exploring and Nordic skiing.
During the spring, the area comes to life with kayaking, fly fishing, and fun attractions. Spend some time soaking in the sights at the Filoha Meadows Open Space (across the river from this property). When it is open to the public (July through September) you'll be able to watch elk, deer, and birds of all kinds in their natural habitat. Treat everyone to a mouth-watering meal at Marble's Slow Groov'n BBQ restaurant. Make sure to grab the Marble Mac & Cheese and their Hillbilly Nachos.
