We love the simple, but beautiful wood paneling, hardwood floors and windows galore of this old-fashioned beach cottage. We were even able to have the house opened up to let the ocean air blow through and hear the sound of the breaking waves and cicadas at night. What a glorious big front porch for meals and evening visits with family after grandkids went to be; fairly ample views of the ocean horizon. We will return for sure! It already feels like home.

The Defense Rests is an awesome beach cottage for your next getaway or family vacation. Enjoy a great living room, dining area, and a well-equipped kitchen with a full suite of appliances. Three cable TVs and a DVD player provide entertainment. This house is perfect for peace and quiet, providing an open deck and porch rockers with an ocean breeze and a view. Additionally, there is a relaxing outdoor shower. Walk mere steps across the street to the nearest beach access.
