Bottom Line: A wonderful resort with a spacious apartment—would return without hesitation. The most beautiful and largest pool. Beautiful beach, with access to many water sports, activities. Safe. Nice small market. Helpful front desk. Not crowded. Very nice apartment. Room for Improvement: Suggestions for owner improvements or tips for future renters: 1. Keypad/Lockbox Confusion: The door keypad is unused; access is via a lockbox on the wall, which wasn’t clearly explained. 2. Gate Code: A "gate code" was provided but its purpose was unclear and didn’t seem to work for the door keypad. 3. Building Entrance Keypad: The building’s keypad code worked but was confusingly referred to as the "main entrance." Clearer terminology would help. 4. Intercom Instructions: No guidance on using the intercom or ringing the apartment bell. 5. Local Contact: Initial local contact that was provided in the emails was unresponsive; another contact later took over. 6. Safe Code: The safe code wasn’t provided upfront and couldn’t be changed by the renter, raising concerns. 7. Sliding Door Issues: The sliding doors on the balconies are difficult to lock. The one in the living room needs to be very slightly loose to be locked. If you press the two doors toward each other, it won't lock. The one in the kids bedroom is the opposite. We requested the sliding door in the living room to be fixed since we couldn’t close it for the first few days, but they never did and never showed us how to close it. Instead they recorded a video showing it works, but the video was for the other door in the kids’ bedroom. 8. Early Check-In Frustration: Early check-in seemed possible but was not confirmed despite multiple inquiries. 9. Washer/Dryer Problems: The washer emitted a burning smell and eventually broke, leaving us without one for days (reimbursed $140). The dryer was inefficient and had a clogged filter. 10. Garbage Disposal: There were no instructions about what to do with garbage, and the local contact did not know. The front desk of the resort told that there is a door outside of the building entrance, where the big garbage bin is. 11. A small vacuum would be useful. 12. Water Jug Replacement: Instructions can also include how the big water 20l jug can be replaced. Apparently the front desk can order a jug for us to be delivered between 9am-2pm if there is empty jug in the apartment that is Epura brand. 13. The front desk is very helpful with questions, getting a taxi etc. (+52 1 984 593 3479) 14. If you need a van to go to places, this gentelman is wonderful (+52 1 984 209 8430). His van can take 16 people I think.
