This two-bedroom Depoe Bay vacation home offers all the comforts of a recently refurbished getaway coupled with plenty of vintage Oregon Coast charm.

Originally built in the 1940s, this home provides a unique combination of amenities like ocean views from a rooftop deck above the garage, a flatscreen TV with unlimited Netflix, and one-of-a-kind architectural details that make this getaway extra special. For instance, when the owners pulled up the carpet during their recent remodel, they found beautiful wood floors made from reclaimed wood from an old mill nearby, laid piece-by-piece by the builder!

The owners of this charming coastal cottage not only restored the hardwood floors, but have furnished and decorated the entire home to create a wonderful oasis for beach getaways. The living room has soft area rugs and plentiful seating. Curl up on the cherry-red sofa before the electric fireplace for a cozy evening with a good book, or gather everyone around the sectional sofa that sits underneath the wide corner windows. It's the perfect spot to spend a lazy afternoon binge-watching your favorite show on Netflix! There's also a DVD player if you'd like to bring along a few movies, and a selection of board games and books for guests to enjoy.

Adjacent to the living room is the dining area, with lovely built-in shelving and a six-person table awaiting your home-cooked meals. The kitchen itself is sunny and bright, with lots of counterspace for chopping vegetables and a delightful array of pots and pans, gadgets like a blender and mixer, and a dishwasher for easy clean-up.

Step out to the side patio with a bistro table and chairs, a cozy nook in the fresh air for an early bird to a morning coffee in peace and quiet while the rest of their fellow travelers are still sleeping. When the whole group is ready to admire the views, walk through the grassy yard to access the fantastic rooftop deck above the garage. Bring along a bottle of wine and enjoy the sunset in style! And keep your eyes peeled for migrating whales - after all, Depoe Bay is known as the Whale Watching Capital of the Oregon Coast, and the Whale Watching Center is just a few blocks away!

The home has two bedrooms, each with queen beds dressed in cozy quilts and electric fireplaces for extra warmth on those chilly winter evenings. There's also a sleeper sofa in the living room, and plenty of linens for up to six guests (four adults maximum). The master bedroom has an attached full bath with walk-in shower, and a second full bath between the two bedrooms has a tub/shower combo. The home also offers a laundry room with washer/dryer, WiFi, cable, two beach chairs, and a hair dryer.

The cottage sits to the west (the ocean side) of Highway 101, just south of the Depoe Bay Bridge, giving it an unbeatable location within very easy walking distance of quaint shops and local restaurants like Tidal Raves and The Sea Hag. While the ocean views from the home are fantastic (and there's a picture-perfect bench just across the street as well), sandy beach access is located just one mile north on Highway 101 at the beautiful Fogarty Creek State Park.
