Sawtooth Recreation Area is less than a half-hour to the north. With 300 alpine lakes, there are so many places to take the boat, hike, climb, kayak and raft. Cyclists can test their mettle on the 10-mile bike path that runs north for 10 miles and south for 16 miles along the Big Wood River. Golfers: there are three courses in the area where you can tee-up. Or, head over to charming little Ketchum where you can shop, dine, or visit one of the many galleries where you can buy that vase or painting for the den.
