Recent Carnelian Bay guest reviews

Our stay at this cabin was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we walked through the door, we felt at home. The cabin was immaculately maintained, with every amenity thoughtfully provided. The cozy fireplace quickly became our favorite spot, where we spent countless evenings unwinding and enjoying the crackling warmth. The atmosphere was just what we needed, peaceful, relaxing, and filled with charm. Every detail, from the well-equipped kitchen to the plush bedding, showed the care and attention the owners put into making guests feel welcomed and comfortable. The location was ideal, secluded enough for complete peace, yet close enough to all the local attractions we wanted to explore. We especially appreciated the outdoor space, which provided a stunning view and the perfect backdrop for morning coffee. Whether we were relaxing indoors, enjoying the warm glow of the fire, or taking in the serene surroundings outside, every moment was delightful. This cabin offered us everything we could have hoped for and more. Our experience was truly one of a kind, and we left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to our return. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a relaxing, rejuvenating getaway!

If you want a cozy place to come home to in between exploring Tahoe, this small cottage is a great place to come back to each evening. Clean, comfortable, stocked and wel decorated.

Great place to disconnect. And the host is very nice! You have a slightly view of the lake, which is a plus. Highly recommended.

The hardest choice when you stay in one of our cozy mountain ski cabins will be trying to figure out what to do each day. Will you spend the afternoon at Squaw or Alpine Meadows? Or perhaps on the slopes of Northstar or Diamond Peak? Or maybe you'll visit historic Tahoe City or take your boat out on iconic Lake Tahoe? However you choose to spend your California vacation, our diverse selection of Carnelian Bay vacation rentals are all conveniently located near all that beautiful North Lake Tahoe has to offer.

Things to do near our Carnelian Bay Tahoe vacation rentals

A small town on the shores of Lake Tahoe, Carnelian Bay promises a relaxing respite from everyday life. However, you'll never be bored when you stay here! From outdoor activities year-round to eclectic shops and delicious restaurants to the annual Concours d'Elegance wooden boat show, there's something for everyone. While each of our vacation rentals includes a full kitchen or kitchenette for homemade meals, there are a handful of delicious eateries in town that are perfect for a night out.

Many of our Carnelian Bay cabin rentals boast a lakefront location and include awe-inspiring views of magnificent Lake Tahoe. Once you're lured outside by the beautiful weather and crystal waters,  you'll find two state beaches along the lake to play on nearby - Patton Beach and Carnelian Bay Beach. Both beaches are pet-friendly and both are great places to pack a picnic and watch the sunset at the end of the day.

Kayaking, fishing, swimming, and even polar bear plunging are favorite pastimes here. If you are visiting sans boat, North Tahoe Watersports in Kings Beach - located three and a half miles east - offers plenty of water toys to rent. From paddleboats to pedal boats, kayaks to jet skis, you'll find whatever you're looking for at this well-known shop. You can even book a parasailing adventure or charter a boat to fish for those Mackinaw trout lurking below. Although the area is known for its numerous ski resorts, Lake Tahoe summers are not to be missed.

No matter what brings you to Lake Tahoe, you'll find plenty of reasons to return when you stay in one of our Carnelian Bay vacation rentals.
