Make The Placencia Peninsula your next getaway

The Placencia Peninsula is a long, thin stretch of land toward the southern coast of Belize that feels like it may be an isolated Caribbean island. The peninsula, nestled between the Caribbean Sea and the Placencia Lagoon, is about 16 miles long and contains the villages of Maya Beach, Seine Bight, and Placencia Village. These seaside communities are known for being particularly lovely places to visit. With dazzling beaches, an offshore barrier reef, friendly locals, and plenty of nearby adventures, this laid-back section of Belize is a slice of heaven!

loved the water in both the front yard and back yard, house itself was quite nice and worked well for our family of 8. The Only downside is the rumble strip on the road that can be quite noisy especially in the AM.

It's a great location if you have a vehicle. The paddleboards and kayaks were really nice to have. We used them mostly on the ocean and not the lagoon. Even though its in a toursit area, many stores and restaurants in the area are closed for holidays such as Boxing Day, so you have to plan ahead.

Casa Chachalaca is a beautiful home in the Maya beach area. This well appointed pool home sits directly on the beach which allows for amazing sunrises from the floor to ceiling windows. The home is within walking distance to several bars and restaurants and a grocery store for your convenience. During our stay we had lunch and drinks at the Tipsy Tuna and enjoyed a wonderful dinner a La Dolce Vista in Placencia. The Green Parrot is a fun and welcoming place to enjoy a meal or drinks within walking distance to the house. We would definitely reccomend stay at this home and look forward to returning in the near future.
