With a location less than 20 minutes from the slopes (there's even shuttle service available), you'll be skiing and snowboarding in no time. And in the summer months, you're only steps away from the Deschutes River Trail for hiking, biking, and other high desert outdoor activities.

Once inside you'll find a large, open great room/living room with a neutral color scheme, tall ceilings, lots of windows for natural light, and a gas fireplace for keeping the space warm and cozy. For the evening's entertainment (if you choose to stay in) there's a TV with a DVD player and cable so you don't have to miss the game or your favorite TV show. Plan a movie night with snacks, popcorn, and drinks, or just find a quiet spot to curl up with a book after everyone else has gone off to bed.

On the nights you are not enjoying one of Bend's great restaurants, this River Wild home features a gourmet-style kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a five-burner gas range, countertop island with a breakfast bar, and gorgeous hardwood floors. There's enough room for everyone to lend a hand and chop vegetables or for the foodie in the group to give an impromptu cooking lesson.

When it's time to sit down for a meal, in addition to the breakfast bar (a great kid's table), the formal dining area will seat up to six. After a day flying down the slopes, dig into a homemade lasagna, crusty French bread, and a bottle of red wine. And on nice sunny afternoons, you'll find that an outdoor dining table on the spacious wrap-around deck is the perfect spot for a light lunch before a hike or use the gas grill for a cookout - just grab the chops, steaks, and vegetable skewers at the grocery store in town.

The king master suite is on the main floor and will pamper it's lucky occupant with all of the comforts from home. At the end of the day, snuggle down into high thread-count bedding, surrounded by fluffy pillows and warm, cozy covers. There's a TV for late-night viewing and an attached full bathroom. This room also has access out onto the deck, so when the sun wakes you up, you can head outside to enjoy the sound of early morning birds or do some yoga stretches while the rest of the house sleeps in.

The two additional bedrooms are located upstairs - one with a queen bed and the other with twin-over-full bunk beds and a trundle bed. These two rooms share a bathroom (there's another half bath located downstairs). Both of these bedrooms have their own TVs with cable. In addition, there's WiFi throughout the house so checking email and getting online is easy whether you're in bed, out on the deck, or making the morning's coffee down in the kitchen. Other amenities include a washer and dryer, iPod dock, blow dryers, and alarm clocks.

Without even leaving the resort, you'll be able to take advantage of a number of amazing amenities! A short stroll on the Deschutes River Trail will take you to the community pool, hot tub, and tennis court - there's even a playground for the kids! And in winter, Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort is just a short drive away, or hop on the shuttle and get there without even having to start the car. Enjoy skiing and snowboarding for all levels at Mt. Bachelor ski resort, as well as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing throughout the Bend area.

Summertime brings its own set of activities to Central Oregon, including rock climbing and hiking at Smith Rock State Park, over 20 miles of trails for running, walking, or hiking on the Deschutes River Trail, and white water rafting on the Deschutes River.

Scenic downtown Bend is only three miles northeast with its cafes, bookstores, galleries, and the charming duck-and-greenery-filled Drake Park. Year-round, Wall and Bond streets are vibrant with shopping and people watching. After working up an appetite, stop in for a Mediterranean-inspired feast at Joolz or Zydeco Kitchen for shrimp etouffee and drinks. The whole family will enjoy a trip to the High Desert Museum to view outdoor animal exhibits, artwork, and insights into the area's history.
